Bogor – Today, Monday, August 25, 2025, Djuanda University through the Institute for Tauhid Studies and Application (BPPT), in collaboration with the Management Board of Baitul Hamdi Mosque (DKM), held a sacred ceremony of the declaration of the two testimonies of faith (syahadah) by a Japanese citizen. The conversion process took place at Baitul Hamdi Mosque, Djuanda University, and was facilitated by the UNIDA Mualaf Center.

The ceremony proceeded solemnly and was witnessed directly by the university leadership. Present to provide full guidance was the Chairman of the Amaliah Djuanda Foundation and Chancellor of Djuanda University, Prof. Dr. H. Martin Roestamy, S.H., M.H.

The witnesses in the conversion ceremony were:

– Ust. Muhammad Rendi Ramdhani, S.Pd.I., M.Pd., Head of BPPT Djuanda University
– Gus Arif Irawan, S.Ag., Head of Baitul Hamdi Mosque Management (DKM) UNIDA

In his remarks, Prof. Dr. H. Martin Roestamy expressed his gratitude and joy for the divine guidance granted by Allah SWT to the new brother. He emphasized that Djuanda University will continue to provide guidance and support through the Mualaf Center so that converts may remain steadfast in practicing Islamic teachings.

“Becoming a Muslim is the first step in a long journey toward a blessed Islamic life. Djuanda University is ready to accompany every step so that our new brother not only has faith but also knowledge and noble character,” said Prof. Martin.

Meanwhile, Ust. Muhammad Rendi Ramdhani stressed that the conversion process is not merely a formality, but the beginning of tauhid-centered guidance that must be maintained continuously. The Baitul Hamdi Mosque Management together with BPPT UNIDA will play an active role in providing assistance through Islamic studies, Qur’an learning, and programs for strengthening faith.

This activity adds to the positive record of Djuanda University as a Tauhid-based Campus, which not only focuses on academics but also actively engages in da’wah and community development, including supporting converts who have found the light of Islamic guidance.
